Chapter II: Lunch

Mahlzeit!

Suzie has been a baker for as long as she can remember, yet never particularily a good one. At work, she is usually asked to bake the same cake bases over and over again, while her more talented coworkers get to do the fun stuff. Suzie has come to terms with it. It means that there's not much she can do wrong, and if so, she has some leftovers to take home for dinner.

How many cakes did the queen eat a day? Suzie's thoughts wander off to the royal family, but only for one second, because she immediately realizes that she doesn't give a shit.

Shizzle!
Dinner's set.

Suzie is standing in front of the oven, now distraced by - not the royal family, but what Garçon once said about them. Why can't she ever forget? While she is standing around, thinking her thoughts, her index finger slowly approaches her left nostril...

Whatever. A thousand cakes, yes, Suzie must have baked a thousand cakes by now, and she will go on for the rest of her life, and when there's no more rest of her life, she will have baked a million cakes.
